Mariner's Lake

Location: Mariner's Lake Natural Area, Newport News, VA

Description:

Mariner's Lake, formerly known as Lake Maury, is a series of both green and blue-rated trails that feature log rollovers, small jumps, and other technical technical terrain features.  It is one of our newer EVMA trails, adopted towards the end of 2019 at the request of the City of Newport News Parks and Recreation.  As of 2021, EVMA recommended several changes to simplify the routes and employ signs on the various segments.  These changes remain under review by the City.  You can ride between five to seven miles depending upon your route.

Directions:

From Interstate 64 Take J Clyde South Exit, drive down a while and turn left at the intersection of Warwick Blvd across from the Mariner's Museum.  Shortly after the intersection and immediately after crossing a bridge a small parking lot is on the left, trail is down a small hill from the parking lot.
