    EVENTS COMING UP

May 12, 2018 - Please join us for a trail work day at Freedom Park.  Meet in the parking lot by 9:00 AM and we’ll try to be done around noon.  Bring work gloves and water and prepare to ride into the worksite.  We’ll provide the tools and work on an eroded, bumpy section, doing a small re-route and possibly some dirt moving to repair the trail and divert water flow.  If you ride and enjoy the trails please consider pitching in to help maintain them.  Never attended a work day before?  No problem – just show up and we’ll walk you through it.  Details and RSVP on the Facebook Chatter page.

May 20, 2018 – Youth bike race a New Quarter Park.  Registration is from 12:30 to 1pm; races start at 1:30pm.  Bring out your children to join in the fun or just come out to cheer on these future racers.  Please also consider helping with the fundraiser (see below).

    OTHER NOTES

Raystown – Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and made the long drive to Raystown lake to enjoy some riding and visiting with friends.  Thank you again to Justin Hlavin for organizing the meals.  Also, thank you to everyone who brought delicious food to share with the group.  Mark your calendars to attend the same weekend next year!

EVMA/Weekend on Your Wheels Fundraiser - For the last few years EVMA has contributed to the awards luncheon and would like to raise $500 for the season end celebration.  We have had several generous donations but need just a little more.   If you would like to help, you can go to evma.org and click donate. When you do, click general fund and put Weekend on Your Wheels in the notes.

You can also mail a check to our corporate address: EVMA 116 Old Stage Road, Toano, VA 23168 or come out to New Quarter at the next race and drop a donation off at the registration table.  Thank you for supporting our future bike club members.

EVMA is a 501c3 charitable organization, all donations are tax deductible.  We have had a few donations so far but still need more.  Even a few bucks helps!  Thank you.

Volunteers Still Needed – Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to serve as board members.  We are still looking for ride leaders and people to help with various events.  Please contact Mike Benton at president@evma.org if you can help in any way.
