EVENTS COMING UP

Night Rides Tuesday and Thursday evenings – Night rides are on Tuesdays at Harwood’s Mill and Thursdays at Freedom Park (no ride on Thanksgiving Day).   The group will leave at 6 pm sharp so please arrive by 5:45 pm.  Every rider must be out of the park by 8 pm.

We are still waiting on approval to ride at New Quarter.

Please remember, stay with the group.  No single riders at night.  Dress for the weather.  Two lights are recommended for all riders.  All riders must sign in and parking passes are required at some parks.  Be safe and have fun!

December 1 – Trail work day at Freedom Park starting at 9 am.  Mark your calendars and plan to come out and help.  There are a few small projects, including some clearing, fixing a bridge and building some re-routes that will not take long if we have plenty of help.  More info at https://www.facebook.com/events/176383219982226/

Trail work will be followed by lunch and a brief meeting at noon.  If you can bring a dish to help with lunch, please contact Melanie at melanie_storrs@yahoo.com.

Trail Work – A workday is being planned for Wahrani sometime in December.  More details coming soon.

December 16th Solstice Ride- Join EVMA to celebrate the shortest day of the year (or close to it anyway).  The ride will be from 4-6 pm.  Lights are required and you must ride with a partner.  Pot luck dinner will follow in the meeting room of the interpretive center.  Please bring a main course, side dish, salad, appetizer or dessert to share.  We have applied for a BYOB license but it is pending approval.

OTHER NOTES

Colonial Revolution Team – Colonial Revolution team is still recruiting talented middle and high school riders for their team.  Visit www.colonialrevolutionmtb.org for more details.

Volunteers Always Needed – Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to serve as board members.  We are still looking for ride leaders and people to help with various events.  Please contact Mike Benton at president@evma.org if you can help in any way.
